This panel includes fasting insulin, fasting plasma glucose, and 3 calculated indices of insulin sensitivity, insulin resistance, and beta-cell activity. The indices are derived from the Homeostatic Model Assessment of Insulin Resistance version 2 developed by Oxford University.
